These chemical, industrial agents and solvents are not intended for use on human skin. The Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act (FD&C), hasn't been updated since it became law in 1938! The FDA has only banned 9 cosmetics ingredients in over 80 years, while the European Union (E.U.) has banned more than 1,300 chemicals, for safety reasons.

Q: I have really sensitive-skin. Do your products contain harmful ingredients?

A: No. CHM LABS products do not contain any potentially hazardous materials, artificial preservatives, additives or harsh chemicals. CHM LABS products are for external use only and have not been evaluated nor determined safe for use by the FDA (neither has the list of chemicals in the section above, or those found in your current products).

Q: Are your products finished or are there special storage requirements, after I receive them?

A: Our products are finished and  there's nothing for you to do after you receive them. All CHM LABS ingredients are shipped to us in a stable, finished state, before being mixed with any our other ingredients or products.

Q: Do you use homemade ingredients in your products?

A: No. While CHM LABS products are organic, pure, or wild harvested, we do not use homemade ingredients in any of our products. All CHM LABS ingredients are sourced from reputable growers and manufacturers. Our partners distribute all inventory according to industry standards.

Q: Should I be concerend about product expiration dates or storage of inventory?

A: No. CHM LABS ingredients are used well before their expiration date, thanks to our loyal customers and inventory of our ingredients are updated based on demand. As a standard operating procedure, all product ingredients are contained, refrigerated and/or stored safely at the proper temperature to maintain their nutrient profile and structural composition. All CHM LABS products have a shelf life of up to 24 months and may be stored at room temperature. For the best results, we recommend use within 12 months of purchase.

Q: Does CHM LABS ever use anything toxic in their products?

A: No. CHM LABS does not use toxic, hazardous chemicals in any of its products.

Q: Do you use product ingredients manufactured by companies that are unfair to impovershed communities or nations, cruel to animals or aren't environmentally friendly?

A: No. CHM LABS makes a concerted effort to work with and purchase our bulk ingredients from Fair Trade member sources to support fair wages for women, all workers, small businesses, to support the environment and animal kingdom around the world.

About the Founder

Celeste Elijah is the CEO of CHM LABS. She created the now very popular, line of personal skincare products for herself, after experiencing a dramatic rise in the price of her favorite moisturizer. Her thought was, "Shoot! I can make this myself!"

And the rest, as they say is history. Necessity created invention. She rolled up her sleeves and dove head first into learning the trade. And, with her first batch, Celeste's Heavenly Moments was born, right in her kitchen.

After 30 years as a Sr. Paralegal in the pharmaceutical industry and private law practice, Celeste had seen it all in immigration law, contracts and labor relations.

She had enough of the hustle n' bustle of New York City, after 9-1-1 in 2001 and left the grind of corporate America. After a few entrepreneurial endeavors, she has found her true calling in personal skincare, creating products her customers trust and love.
